Troubleshooting

Only fixed rpm and limited wheels are available

When rpm and wheel choice cannot be changed, tune the route through compound aggressiveness and working technique.

Developing a polishing route with limited wheels

Symptoms

  • Only fixed rpm and limited wheels are available.

Likely causes

  • Workshop motor has no speed control.
  • Only one first-stage wheel and one final-stage wheel are available.
  • The user is trying to apply an ideal route to a constrained setup.

Checks

  • Identify the first-stage wheel.
  • Identify the final-stage wheel.
  • Record known rpm or mark rpm as unknown.
  • Confirm whether full LUXI Sample Assortment is available.

Recommended fixes

  • Treat wheel and speed as fixed variables.
  • Tune by compound aggressiveness, pressure, contact time and inspection frequency.
  • Inspect after each short pass and record the successful combination.

Prevention

  • Do not compare fixed-rpm results directly with an ideal variable-speed route unless the setup differences are recorded.
