Application context
LUXI Sample Assortment contains sample-size polishing compounds. The set is intended to help a workshop compare compounds, identify suitable starting points, and develop its own controlled processes for the materials, tools, motors, and production tasks actually available.
The samples are not arranged as a mandatory sequence. LUXI products perform different first-stage, finishing, low-temperature, small-tool, polymer, and special-process roles. Select a candidate according to the material, surface condition, geometry, contact area, working body, available speed, and required result.
Begin testing only on a correctly prepared sample or non-critical item. Complete geometry, repair, and the appropriate abrasive preparation before judging a polishing compound. A test must not ask finishing compound to correct a deep scratch, an open cavity, unfinished shape, or an incomplete first stage.
Change one variable at a time. Keep the material and preparation constant while comparing compounds, or keep the compound constant while comparing wheels, pressure, speed, or contact. Record the wheel, diameter, rpm, pressure, pass duration, temperature, amount of compound, cleaning method, and result after cleaning. Without controlled comparison, the workshop cannot determine which variable produced the change.
Use separate clean tools for different compounds and apply each compound according to its product-specific loading rule. Do not transfer a fixed rpm from a standard wheel to a smaller tool. Do not compensate for insufficient action with excess compound, excessive pressure, or prolonged continuous contact.
The full usefulness of the assortment depends on workshop capability. A fixed-speed motor, a limited wheel selection, unsuitable small tools, or the absence of clean separate working bodies may restrict which comparisons are meaningful. The purpose of testing is to identify a process that the workshop can reproduce, not to claim that every sample must work in every setup.
After every test, remove compound and removed material, allow the item to cool, and inspect it under consistent directed light. Compare not only immediate lustre but also stability after cleaning, preservation of geometry, remaining preparation marks, contamination, heat effects, and the condition of recesses and relief.
LUXI iClean is not included in the assortment. Exact sample weight and dimensions are not stated publicly because the repository does not contain confirmed values. Do not infer or advertise unverified quantities.
