Troubleshooting

Polycarbonate remains hazy

Haze on polycarbonate can come from overheating, remaining scratches or the wrong finishing sequence.

Polymer Polishing: LUXI Brown → LUXI Beige

Symptoms

  • Polycarbonate does not become clear.
  • The surface has haze after polishing.

Likely causes

  • Overheating.
  • Remaining scratches.
  • Wrong sequence or LUXI Beige started too early.

Checks

  • Check if the surface was wet sanded to a fine enough level.
  • Check whether haze worsens with longer contact.

Recommended fixes

  • Use wet sanding preparation.
  • Use a short LUXI Brown stage and a gentle LUXI Beige final stage.

Prevention

  • Keep contact short and avoid overheating.
  • Test on a scrap piece or hidden area before full polishing.
