Troubleshooting

Brush does not hold compound

The brush reaches the recess but does not carry enough active compound into the contact zone.

A small brush with nearly bare fibre tips and loose compound-like dust on the nearby work surface.

Symptoms

  • Brush appears clean or dry immediately after charging.
  • Recess contact happens, but the surface does not brighten.

Likely causes

  • The brush is too stiff, too dirty or not holding compound.
  • The contact zone does not generate enough working heat for standard polishing-paste behaviour.
  • Too much pressure may push compound away instead of transferring it.

Checks

  • Check whether compound remains on the bristles after a short pass.
  • Check whether a lighter charge transfers better.
  • Compare with LUXI Purple behaviour on the same brush.

Recommended fixes

  • Clean the brush and apply less compound.
  • Use LUXI Purple as the primary brush-route compound.
  • Use shorter passes and lighter pressure.
  • If the recess remains rough rather than just dull, consider whether a short stiff brush route is required.

Prevention

  • Develop brush routes separately from standard wheel routes.
  • Record brush type, compound amount and contact behaviour.
