Low-temperature LUXI Green / LUXI Purple

Choosing LUXI Green or LUXI Purple

Select LUXI Green for eligible cotton and felt tools, or the separate LUXI Purple bristle-brush or cotton-thread/cord route according to geometry, access, contact and entry condition; LUXI Purple is not a universally stronger next stage after LUXI Green.

Practical note

Select LUXI Green for eligible cotton and felt tools, or the separate LUXI Purple bristle-brush or cotton-thread/cord route according to geometry, access, contact and entry condition; LUXI Purple is not a universally stronger next stage after LUXI Green.

Carrier-specific alternatives

LUXI Green

Cut7
Gloss8/9

LUXI Green: use the separate cotton and felt tool route only when the tool, contact and surface condition are suitable.

LUXI Purple

Cut7
Gloss8

LUXI Purple: select the separate bristle-brush route or cotton-thread/cord route when geometry and access require that carrier and the item permits the corresponding mechanical polishing. Entry condition determines a local first-stage or finishing role; slow LUXI Green action alone does not establish this choice.

LUXI Asian Blue

Cut10
Gloss4

LUXI Asian Blue special route: aggressive stiff-brush work for recess porosity or difficult gaps; not a normal Green/Purple step.

Use only when the separate short stiff brush recess route is required.

Process steps

  1. Check geometry, access, surface preparation, item suitability and the carrier before selecting a compound.
  2. For suitable small cotton and felt tools, use the separate LUXI Green route; inspect contact and surface condition if action is slow.
  3. For eligible bristle-brush work, use the separate LUXI Purple brush route; for eligible cotton thread or cord, use its separate thread/cord route. Do not transfer LUXI Purple to felt, cotton wheels or cotton wraps.
  4. Determine whether the entry condition requires a local first stage or a local finish. LUXI Purple is not a universally stronger or automatic next stage after LUXI Green.
  5. Use controlled short passes and inspect the result. Follow the carrier-specific route rather than increasing pressure or compound to force action.
  6. Do not jump directly to LUXI Asian Blue unless the separate short stiff-brush/recess correction route is required; it is not prescribed on thread or cord.

Process control

  • selecting the process parameters
  • monitoring temperature, pressure, wheel condition and visual result
  • stopping or adjusting the process when the specific item requires it

Warning for plated or coated surfaces

Coated surfaces may include electroplating, flash plating, PVD/CVD coatings, lacquers and other decorative or protective layers. Mechanical polishing may thin, remove, discolor, detach or otherwise damage such coatings. Do not polish coated surfaces unless the coating type, thickness and repair strategy are understood and tested.
