LUXI Pink does not produce mirror finish on second-group materials

If LUXI Pink does not produce a mirror finish, the previous stage usually has not prepared the surface sufficiently.

Symptoms

  • LUXI Pink creates shine but not a true mirror surface.
  • Fine marks or dull zones remain visible after final polishing.

Likely causes

  • The surface was not ready for final polishing.
  • The LUXI Gray, LUXI Brown or LUXI Black preparation stage was incomplete.

Checks

  • Inspect whether marks come from the previous stage.
  • Do not use LUXI Pink as a substitute for first-stage correction.

Recommended fixes

  • Return to the appropriate preparation stage. For the stainless-steel/Co–Cr LUXI Pink finish, use a separate clean white unstitched Calico wheel, not muslin or flannel; retain the separate material-specific route for other materials.
  • For platinum, choose LUXI Black -> LUXI Pink or LUXI Gray -> LUXI Pink according to sanding level.

Prevention

  • Move to LUXI Pink only after the previous surface is ready for final polishing.
