Troubleshooting

Small tools do not generate enough working heat

Small diameter and low surface speed can reduce heat generation and compound mobility.

Symptoms

  • The tool turns but the compound feels dry or inactive.
  • The surface does not brighten as expected.
  • Increasing time does not noticeably improve the result.

Likely causes

  • Small tool diameter reduces surface speed.
  • Low rpm or light pressure keeps the contact zone cool.
  • The compound binder is not becoming mobile enough for the route.

Checks

  • Check tool diameter and rpm.
  • Check whether the task needs LUXI Green control or LUXI Purple adhesion/action.
  • Check whether the workshop setup can produce the required route.

Recommended fixes

  • Use a LUXI Green or LUXI Purple low-temperature route depending on delicacy and aggressiveness needs.
  • Improve tool choice rather than simply adding more compound.
  • Inspect after short passes.

Prevention

  • Consider surface speed and tool diameter before choosing the compound.
  • Do not assume a small tool behaves like a standard bench wheel.
