Troubleshooting

Outer surface shines, inner surface does not

Different tool diameter and surface speed can create different working temperatures on the same item.

One ring showing a mirror-bright outer wall and a visibly dull inner wall.

Symptoms

  • Outer surface becomes bright, but inner surface remains dull.
  • The result differs strongly between standard-wheel and small-tool areas.

Likely causes

  • Different tool diameter and surface speed create different working temperatures.
  • The inner surface may be a small-tool / low-temperature problem rather than operator error.

Checks

  • Compare tool diameter, rpm and contact access between outside and inside surfaces.
  • Check whether inside polishing uses a brush, mandrel wheel, thread or other small carrier.

Recommended fixes

  • Treat the inside as a small-tool / low-temperature polishing case.
  • Do not solve the problem only by increasing pressure.
  • Consider future LUXI Green / LUXI Purple low-temperature logic.

Prevention

  • Plan separate routes for outside wheel polishing and inside small-tool polishing.
  • Record successful inside-tool combinations.
